Optimum Healthcare IT is seeking an Epic Ambulatory Analyst to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and optimization of Epic applications. The role involves ensuring operational stability through incident resolution, system maintenance, and collaboration with stakeholders to enhance the Epic platform's value.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support, troubleshooting, and resolution of incidents and service requests for assigned Epic modules
- Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including build updates, configuration changes, data corrections, and environment validations
- Ensure ticket documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with AMS standards
- Maintain a strong understanding of Epic workflows, system dependencies, and end-user needs
- Participate in scheduled on-call or after-hours support as required
- Maintain awareness of system integrations and dependencies that may impact Epic workflows or functionality, escalating issues through appropriate channels as needed
- Support cross-team collaboration to resolve issues impacting multiple Epic applications
- Support operational and maintenance activities within the scope of managed services
- Participate in meetings with client teams by providing clear updates, discussing issues, and recommending solutions
- Collaborate effectively with internal analysts and external client counterparts to ensure coordinated support
- Clearly communicate the impacts of system changes and upcoming enhancements
- Work independently while effectively prioritizing tasks in alignment with client needs
- Provide well-reasoned recommendations that clearly outline the pros and cons of each option
- Support operational and maintenance activities within the scope of managed services, escalating project-level initiatives through appropriate governance channels
- Escalate issues to leadership efficiently and effectively through established channels
- Maintain required Epic certifications or proficiencies and continuously expand skill sets (Epic and beyond)
- Participate in ongoing training to deepen application knowledge and cross-train on additional Epic modules
- Stay informed of evolving Epic best practices, healthcare technology trends, and regulatory requirements
Skills
- Must have current Epic certification
- Epic Ambulatory Certification (MUST HAVE) plus 2+ years of Analyst experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting application build, maintenance, and testing
- Working knowledge of clinical or operational Epic workflows
- Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience collaborating with interface teams and vendors for issue resolution
