The role involves gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and facilitating communication between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure effective solutions are designed and implemented.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Evaluate existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimized solutions
- Prepare detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), and user stories
- Serve as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and external partners to ensure clear understanding and alignment
- Collaborate with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs and ensure feasibility
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), validate deliverables against requirements, and ensure solutions meet expected outcomes
- Develop reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to track project outcomes and business KPIs
- Assist in defining and implementing change management strategies for new systems or processes
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- 2–6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, Visio, Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in [industry — e.g., travel, e-commerce, fintech, healthcare, etc.]
- Knowledge of data modeling, SQL, or basic programming concepts
- Certification such as CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA certification
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
