Job Title: Playwright Automation Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement robust automation solutions. This role will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and data integrity of complex applications through a strong focus on UI, API, and backend data validation. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in the Playwright framework and experience integrating automation within CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Strategy & Development
• Design and implement Playwright-based automation frameworks for UI and API testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for complex integrations involving multiple data sources and intricate transformation logic.
• Apply a working knowledge of CI/CD and environment automation (pipelines, artifacts, caching, secrets management) to integrate and execute automation continuously.
Testing and Validation
• Perform comprehensive functional testing using structured test scripts and exploratory techniques.
• Conduct database validation to ensure data integrity, transformation accuracy, and backend consistency.
• Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) cycles, including both batch and real-time scenarios.
• Contribute to shift-left testing strategies, embedding quality early in the development lifecycle.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production validations to ensure successful releases.
Collaboration and Documentation
• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into robust test scenarios.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, defect logs, and execution reports.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven experience in designing and developing automation frameworks, particularly with Playwright.
• Strong proficiency in testing UI and API layers.
• Solid experience with CI/CD processes and tooling.
• Expertise in writing complex test scenarios for data-intensive applications and verifying data integrity across systems.
• Working knowledge of database technologies and ability to write/execute validation queries.
• Experience operating within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
