Qualifications
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be flexible and deal with a certain amount of unpredictability

  • The ability and willingness to go above and beyond to help support the Alliance goals

  • A team-player attitude with a strong sense of personal accountability

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong ability to manage internal teams and external consultants/agencies to execute on a strategy

  • Attention to the detail and ability to work in a high pressure environment

Experience required:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, ideally within high-growth companies within the social and private sector

  • Demonstrated experience implementing complex programs

  • Previous working experience in working in the African entrepreneurship space is a plus

  • Experience in program, project and event management

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A team-player attitude with a strong sense of personal accountability

  • Strategic Impact- Implements the Harambeans strategy through a detailed plan including teamwork stream milestones and metrics of evaluating impact

  • Delivery Excellence- Able to lead projects and provide strategic direction across the core initiatives to deliver a superior network experience

  • Executive Presence- Able to project confidence, establish credibility with, and influence Harambeans and the partner ecosystem at all levels

  • Global Mind-set- Able to adopt a global approach to networking, building eminence for the Alliance, and assembling stakeholders to best deliver on key Alliance milestones

  • Risk Strategy- influence and advise team on key risk decisions

  • Network Development– Oversees the growth of talent pipeline for fellowships, ecosystem partners and the ‘friends’ circle of Harambeans

  • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving- Facilitates innovative solutions to team and market problems and drives changes to processes or ways of working based on new trends/recent developments

  • Good understanding of entrepreneurial business principles
