You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other Ground task groups to meet flight departure schedules. If you are a problem-solver who enjoys working in a dynamic setting and providing excellent customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide friendly and efficient service to customers, responding to their queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. * Work in a helpful spirit to ensure the success of our organization, collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve common goals. * Load, unload, service, guide, and direct aircraft at slopes and terminals, ensuring that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. * Receive and record customer baggage, air cargo, mail, and company materials as required. * Handle all aspects of loading, storing, and unloading cargo, baggage, airmail, and company materials, following a predetermined plan received either electronically or physically from a Task Specialist. * Submit, either electronically or physically, a Freight Receptacle Stacking Slip (CBLS) to a Task Specialist. * Receive, transport, and deliver freight and baggage to and from aircraft and record these activities. * Distribute, gauge, stack, get, and convey air freight, checking air freight handled against accompanying documents to identify any discrepancies or inconsistencies and correct routine errors. * Protect customers' baggage, air freight, air mail, and COMAT from weather, loss, theft, damage, and destruction. * Use jetway steps regularly to convey items checked at the door to the aircraft container. * Inspect freight documents for accuracy and correct documents as necessary. * Perform interior aircraft cabin cleaning manually, including clearing upholstery, cleaning windows, galleys, and removal compartments according to established procedures. * Clean and service restrooms, operate latrine trucks, and dispose of contents according to established protocols. * May perform duties of a Provisioning Specialist, including loading aircraft cabin interiors for flights with equipment and supplies such as writing, removal, and decline compartments and supermarket items according to relevant procedures. Maintain a stock of such items and supplies. * Transport cabin and cleaning equipment between aircraft storage areas. * Operate or drive mechanical equipment, such as belt loaders, air start units, lift trucks, push back pulls, sack truck, latrine truck, and de-icers. * Physically move around push trucks and containers. * Work or travel between passenger terminals, sheds, and airfreight offices, both inside and outside. * May be exposed to a wide range of weather conditions, noise, and vibrations for extended periods. * Complete forms and procedures associated with work tasks according to established methods, and enter such data into the company's data system as required. * Responsibilities may vary by size and association of station. **Essential Qualifications** * Ability to work with others as part of a team, and work under stressful circumstances. * Should be able to complete the Slope Specialist training program with a 90% or higher average and assessment period. * Ability to understand documents, follow procedures, learn and grasp slope tasks methodology, rules, and guidelines. * Should be aware of hazardous situations and be able to handle crises on a case-by-case basis. * Should work under close time constraints to achieve rapid aircraft turns. * Should satisfy all prepping guidelines as illustrated in the Ground Tasks Worker Handbook and the Work Agreement. * Should be able to be aware of moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment. Should be able to convey information and instructions verbally as well as through radio equipment. **Preferred Qualifications** * No education prerequisite. * No experience prerequisite. * Authorizing/Confirmation: + Should have a valid state driver's license. + Should be able to obtain a SIDA identification and meet all local airport requirements. + May be required by Station Initiative to obtain a Customs Seal and meet all requirements to work international flights. **Physical Abilities** * Should be able to lift and move objects of 70 pounds as well as frequently lift loads of 40 to 50 pounds on raised surfaces. * Should be able to climb, bend, twist, crawl, and stoop consistently and for extended periods. * Should be able to work in confined or high places. * Should be able to carry heavy items up and down jetway steps. **Benefits and Perks** * Fly free of charge, as an honor, on any open seat on every arenaflex flight (your qualified dependents as well). * Up to a 9.3% 401 organization match, dollar for dollar, of your qualified compensation, per check. * Potential for yearly Profit Sharing commitment toward retirement - when arenaflex benefits, you profit. * An association-based job that includes working assigned shifts based on position.
