Quick Trucking is looking for an experienced and motivated Freight Dispatcher to help keep our 26-foot box truck moving with profitable freight. We are looking for someone who understands the expedited freight market, communicates well with brokers, and can consistently secure quality loads while maximizing revenue.
Responsibilities
• Find and book profitable freight daily.
• Negotiate the highest rates possible with freight brokers.
• Plan efficient routes and minimize deadhead miles.
• Build and maintain relationships with freight brokers and direct shippers.
• Manage dispatch paperwork, rate confirmations, and carrier packets.
• Track the driver’s progress and provide support throughout each trip.
• Communicate professionally with brokers and customers.
• Keep the truck loaded consistently to maximize revenue.
Requirements
• Minimum 1 year of freight dispatching experience (box truck experience preferred).
• Experience using DAT, Truckstop, or other load boards.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Reliable phone and internet connection.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience dispatching expedited freight is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Existing relationships with freight brokers.
• Ability to secure dedicated lanes or direct shipper freight.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service.
• Experience working with factoring companies.
