Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced EMEIA Design Associate to join our team, responsible for managing internal and external partners to deliver Apple Retail projects that embody our company values and meet our high-quality expectations. You'll oversee the design and development of innovative retail spaces, ensuring seamless execution from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse team of design professionals, working on complex project issues that require knowledge of conditions and evaluation of various factors, including design intent, budget, and schedule limitations, construction feasibility, building code, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop concept designs into innovative and constructible projects, overseeing architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure alignment with Apple's brand and quality standards.
- Interpret local building codes and regulations, integrating comprehensive design solutions that comply with local and regional laws.
- Identify technically challenging project conditions and develop solutions that consistently align with Apple's evolving design vocabulary.
- Review and comment on design and construction documents, maintaining design standards and developing project-specific conditions.
- Collaborate with Real Estate and Development teams to establish project schedules and initial budget assumptions.
- Conduct site visits and construction surveys to ensure project quality and progress.
- Manage the internal approval process at multiple phases throughout the project.
- Organize, update, and archive all project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Work with cross-functional partners to create, manage, and implement fleet-wide initiatives that drive consistency and excellence across Apple's retail estate.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of design management experience within the retail, architectural, or construction industries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of design, construction, and technology specialists.
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Design, or equivalent industry experience.
- Familiarity with common industry architectural software.

- Proven ability to develop meaningful internal and external partnerships that drive project success.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex project challenges.
- Experience meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Understanding of Mac OS and Mac software, such as Keynote, Numbers, and Pages.
