Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls from members and providers regarding claims status, benefits, and eligibility, PPO participation, and other related inquiries
- Maintain department-established performance metrics at a meets or exceeds expectations level, ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals and apply blithequark's core values in day-to-day operations
- Demonstrate service discipline, handling service challenges, and providing solutions to constituent needs
- Work across boundaries to resolve customer issues, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Ability to work in a production environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze issues and provide effective solutions
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- Call center experience, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance concepts
