Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the District-approved curriculum, adapting to the unique needs of each pupil
• Provide individualized and small group instruction, translating lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Establish and maintain high standards of pupil behavior, creating an effective learning atmosphere that promotes academic and social growth
• Evaluate pupils' progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports in a timely manner
• Identify pupil needs, making referrals and developing strategies for individual education plans as necessary
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, using a variety of methods including Schoology, newsletters, phone calls, emails, and conferences
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops, and seminars to stay current with best teaching practices
• Integrate technology into instruction, using a range of digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning
• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level, as required

Essential Qualifications

• MN K-6 Elementary Education or Birth-Grade 3 Early Childhood Education licensure
• Proven experience in teaching Kindergarten or related grade levels
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans, adapting to the needs of diverse learners
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the community
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field
