The home campus for this position is Bloomsburg with the expectation of serving a multi-campus University within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The position may also require teaching in one of our other degree programs in either an on-campus or online environment based on need and faculty expertise. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, and show potential for a productive research/scholarship program. Professional development support is available to support ongoing research.Commonwealth University faculty are expected to serve as academic advisors and mentors for its students. The successful candidate will need to complete distance education training programs as made available by the University within two years of hire for the purpose of teaching in a multi-campus environment with remote teaching needs. Qualifying Experience and Education (Minimum/Preferred)Minimum Qualifications to teach didactic courses at the rank of Instructor:• Master's Degree in Nursing• Four years' experience as an instructor in either an academic or clinical setting• Academic background and clinical expertise relevant in adult health• Active PA RN License through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing is required.Eligibility for PA RN licensure is required if a current PA license is not held. Minimum Qualifications to teach didactic courses at the rank of Assistant Professor:• Master's Degree in Nursing plus 10 additional credits of graduate coursework from an accredited institution• Four years' experience as an instructor in either an academic or clinical setting• Academic background and clinical expertise relevant in adult health• Active PA RN License through the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing is required.Eligibility for PA RN licensure is required if a current PA license is not held.
