Your key responsibilities will include: Welcome and energize the virtual audience during live sessions, creating a positive and inclusive environment that encourages participation and engagement. Monitor and interact with audience comments in the chat, responding to questions and keeping the energy upbeat and focused on the festival's themes. Share event updates, encourage participation, and maintain a positive and supportive virtual space where everyone feels included and valued.Host and moderate livestreamed conversations, panel discussions, and Q&A sessions with performers and speakers, guiding one-on-one conversations between audience members and featured guests. Manage timing and transitions between segments to keep the event on schedule, working closely with our production team to troubleshoot any live communication issues that may arise. Foster a welcoming and supportive virtual space where everyone feels included, helping to amplify the festival's themes of self-love and resilience by encouraging meaningful dialogue and connection among our audience members.Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A confident and empathetic communication style, with the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Experience in facilitating conversations or moderating discussions, or a strong desire to learn and develop your skills in this area. Comfort and familiarity with livestreaming platforms such as Zoom, bolthires Live, or StreamYard, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing dynamics and priorities. Availability to dedicate 5-10 hours per week leading up to the festival, with full availability on February 13, 2025. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in event moderation, hosting, or production, with a strong understanding of the technical and logistical aspects of virtual events. A background in communications, public relations, or a related field, with a strong understanding of audience engagement and community building strategies.Fluency in multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
