Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Entry and Statistics Analyst to at blithequark. As a key member of our Sports Data Management and Analysis department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of sports data distributed across various blithequark platforms. This is a unique opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are passionate about sports and dedicated to delivering exceptional results. Key Responsibilities Guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of sports data distributed by the Sports Data Management and Analysis team, including scores, schedules, standings, and statistics. Work independently and collaboratively to deliver accurate and detailed data analysis, clock-and-score, and other metrics that power various blithequark products and productions. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Sports Data Management and Analysis team's role in fueling blithequark's digital and television products. Verify the results of your own work and that of others, performing with a consistently high level of attention to detail and accuracy. Contribute to production, projects, and initiatives across the newsroom, and support newsroom leaders who are coordinating full-time and part-time staff. Anticipate potential issues, both daily and long-term, and propose likely solutions, communicating rapidly and clearly with stakeholders on these issues. Play a proactive role in working with colleagues to develop or refine production processes. Be an active participant in team and department meetings, seeking and responding to feedback around individual performance. Stay informed about current departmental policies and procedures. Essential Qualifications Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of various sports. Full schedule availability, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports data that powers blithequark's digital and television products. Capacity to achieve a high level of content accuracy in time-sensitive production environments. Ability to communicate confidently, both verbally and in writing, to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often in a fast-paced and dynamic newsroom environment. Preferred Qualifications 1+ years of experience working in sports or statistics, ideally in media. Knowledge of how sports data is used in media and for research purposes. Working knowledge of blithequark products and productions. Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office products. Experience leading or mentoring a team. Ability to speak and write Spanish. Experience using social media in a business or news environment. Education Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
