Job Summary As a Customer Service & Sales Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing customer orders, and developing strong relationships with our customers. You will work closely with our sales and customer service teams to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service and support. Key Responsibilities * Provide exceptional customer service to our customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner. * Manage customer orders, including booking, scheduling, and pricing. * Develop strong relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and preferences to provide tailored solutions. * Collaborate with our sales and customer service teams to ensure that our customers receive the best possible service and support. * Enter and verify customer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. * Assist the customer service department in eliminating waste by continually looking for opportunities to automate administrative processes. * Provide first-level help chain assistance and instruction with PC/software-related questions. * Develop and maintain queries and other reports as required by the sales service unit. * Compile information for maintaining and distributing daily, weekly, and monthly reports. * Create and maintain charts to track department metrics. * Perform pricing audits as required. * Verify Tax-Exempt Certificates. * Responsible for accuracy of reports. Customer Sales & Service Major Deliverables * Manage the customer order cycle process, including bookings, standard order entry, scheduling, and pricing. * Familiarize yourself with personnel in sales and spaneting and the business unit. * Develop an understanding of the BU's flat-rolled products, their manufacturing flowpaths, characteristics, and sizes to effectively enter customer purchase orders. * First responder to Cold Calls, forwarding information to the appropriate CSSR. * Review and Book Depot orders. * Supply agreement reviews (daily review). * Enter and Book Rework/Replacement orders. * Enter and Book Scrap Orders. Training and Development A comprehensive training program is offered to cover key aspects of the job. During the training program and the customer service role, you will need to quickly acquire, integrate, and use knowledge in a variety of areas, such as: * Knowledge of administrative and advanced clerical procedures. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to tactfully, expeditiously, and professionally interact with internal and external customers. * PC skills, including Windows 10, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Visio, Adobe Acrobat, AS400, Oracle, CRM, and ArconicDirect. * Understanding our product line and how it relates to our customer orders. * Navigating through multiple and complex computer systems used in the job, along with proficient keyboarding skills and attention to detail. * Understanding plant production processes and who are the appropriate plant contacts for different situations. * Understanding commercial policies and procedures and who are the appropriate commercial contacts for different situations. * Applying administrative procedures. * Ability to extract data from databases, understand the data, and correctly apply it to the processes. Requirements * High School Diploma or GED. * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. * This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Preferred Qualifications * Associate's Degree. * Prior industrial/manufacturing customer service experience. * 3 years of progressive responsibility experience in a sales and customer service position.
