Job Summary As a Customer Service Parcel Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for coordinating the inbound and outbound package activities of our in-center parcel management operation. This role requires a high level of organization, planning, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, and partners, providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues, and ensuring seamless package handling and delivery. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all shipping-related services and activities, including receiving, processing, staging, and delivering packages Maintain accurate logs of incoming and outgoing parcels, prepare parcels for pickup, and sort incoming parcels Utilize proprietary software and equipment to execute job functions, including mobile equipment assigned on a daily basis Provide customer service, including anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and problem-solving with minimal supervision Assemble parcels, prepare goods for shipping, and utilize pallet jacks and other large package handling equipment as needed Follow all equipment safety and package security guidelines to ensure a safe working environment Collaborate with team members to achieve business objectives, provide training and support, and participate in goal setting and skill development Perform administrative duties, including bidding, ordering supplies, and inventory control Operate the point of sale terminal (POS), ensuring package handling fees are collected, and perform daily close-out procedures Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent education required Minimum six months of related experience required (warehouse and/or hospitality experience preferred) Proven strong organization and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Action-oriented with skills and aptitude to excel in a customer-focused and results-driven environment High integrity individual who presents a professional image through effective written and verbal communication skills Excellent team building and collaborative skills, with the ability to develop strong customer relationships Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer service issues and refunds with minimal supervision Ability to accurately translate and record information into electronic tracking systems with 100% accuracy Proficiency with computer systems and the ability to learn new software applications quickly Ability to pass an OSHA certification for any equipment in the center requiring such certification Ability to move 75 pounds unassisted and maneuver packages of any weight above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment and/or assistance Physical stamina to walk up to 10 miles per shift and stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in a warehouse or hospitality environment Knowledge of logistics and shipping operations Experience with proprietary software and equipment Leadership or supervisory experience Ability to speak multiple languages Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
