This individual will be expected to monitor a specific group of patient's care and support them in achieving short/long term health goals. The Care Coordinator will coordinate with providers to ensure patients' needs are met. A working knowledge of the clinical field is desired for this position. Position Summary: We are seeking a Behavioral Health Medical Assistant (MA) to support our telemedicine psychiatric providers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others. This role involves coordinating virtual patient visits, managing records, and ensuring each patient receives a smooth, high-quality telehealth experience. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare patients for virtual appointments by confirming demographics, medications, and visit details. • Obtain and document patient health information, including behavioral health screening tools. • Conduct safety assessments for suicidality and crisis intervention as needed. • Support psychiatric providers during telehealth visits with documentation and coordination. • Accurately maintain patient records and manage workflows within eClinicalWorks (eCW). • Assist with medication refills, lab orders, prior authorizations, and pharmacy communication. • Coordinate follow-up appointments, conduct appointment reminders, referrals, and care coordination. • Manage a cancellation list to ensure provider's schedules are full. • Provide patient education and ensure timely communication regarding care plans. • Accept incoming calls and respond to text messages from our main line. Qualifications: • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) required. • 1+ year of experience in behavioral health, telemedicine, or outpatient primary care preferred. • Proficient in eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR system preferred. • Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills. • Ability to multitask and work independently in a remote environment. • Must reside in AZ.
