Job Title: Application Architect (SAP MM) Location: Waukegan, IL (On-Site) Rate: $65 - $70/hr Contract Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extensions) Contract Type: W-2 (Must be authorized to work in the U.S.; No sponsorships, No F1-OPTs, No C2C, No 1099) Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SAP MM Application Architect to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong track record in implementing and supporting SAP solutions while demonstrating deep expertise in SAP Materials Management (MM) and Procure to Pay processes. The candidate will serve as a subject matter expert, providing SAP MM solution architecture and consulting to drive operational excellence. Responsibilities SAP Consulting & Solution Architecture: • Collaborate with clients to identify business requirements and develop SAP solutions. • Design, configure, and implement SAP MM modules and integrated solutions. • Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and propose system enhancements. • Provide technical leadership for SAP MM solution architecture and integration. • Participate in project meetings and provide updates to key stakeholders. Project Execution & Support: • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for SAP MM implementations. • Ensure smooth and timely completion of project deliverables within scope and budget. • Conduct Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing. • Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting for end-users. • Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies, tools, and best practices. Enterprise Architecture & Compliance: • Align technology solutions with business strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams. • Work with IT infrastructure teams to ensure system compatibility and scalability. • Evaluate application system needs across multiple systems and develop logical data architectures and standards. • Provide strategic consulting on enabling technologies to meet business needs. • Ensure compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures. Collaboration & Vendor Management: • Collaborate with hardware, network, and database architects to evaluate new technologies. • Communicate and educate technical teams on SAP architecture, industry trends, and best practices. • Facilitate vendor engagement to assess product scalability and fit for business needs. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). • 13+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years as an Application Architect. • 8+ years of experience in implementing and supporting SAP solutions with expertise in SAP MM. • Strong understanding of SAP Procure to Pay (P2P) processes and best practices. • Experience with SAP integration across multiple systems (SAP and non-SAP). • Strong understanding of enterprise IT architectures, security policies, and cloud technologies. • Advanced knowledge of system configuration, data modeling, and business processes. • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Skills & Qualifications • SAP Functional Certifications. • Experience in SAP PP (Production Planning) configuration, customization, and deployment. • Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare or pharmaceuticals. • Expertise in cloud-based SAP solutions and hybrid SAP environments.
