AI Data Scientist

Position: AI Data Scientist (B2B / Freelancer Contract) Location:Remote open to candidates based in the European Union, Serbia, or Moldova Role Overview We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced AI Data Scientist to join their global Centre of Excellence, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for Agentic AI Services. In this role, you will design, build, and deploy advanced AI-driven and agentic data science solutions leveraging Microsofts AI ecosystem, including Azure Machine Learning, bolthires Fabric, and Power BI.You will collaborate with global business and technical teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities, operationalize scalable models, and drive innovation across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is a hands-on data science expert with a strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and cloud-based AI platforms, eager to shape and implement next-generation Agentic AI solutions for enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end data science and machine learning solutions using bolthires Fabric, Azure Machine Learning, Synapse, and Python/R.Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI opportunities, focusing on agentic AI use cases with tangible business value. Process and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, ensuring high data integrity, feature engineering quality, and AI readiness. Design and refine data collection, labeling, and transformation frameworks for predictive modeling, NLP, and generative AI applications. Develop, validate, and optimize statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and agentic architectures aligned with business objectives.Automate and maintain reusable Azure ML pipelines, data processing tools, and inferencing workflows for scalable model deployment. Communicate insights and findings clearly to both technical and business audiences through Power BI and other visualization tools. Promote best practices in MLOps, reproducibility, and responsible AI within production environments. Support continuous model improvement by monitoring performance, retraining, and adapting solutions based on feedback. Collaborate closely with Data Engineers and Architects to ensure seamless data pipeline integration and model operationalization.Maintain documentation, version control, and compliance across model development and deployment stages. Mentor junior data scientists, encouraging professional development and innovation across the Agentic AI Services team. Required Skills & Experience Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. 5-10 years of hands-on experience delivering data science, machine learning, and AI solutions in corporate or large-scale environments.Proven expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and advanced AI (supervised, unsupervised, NLP, generative AI). Strong proficiency in Python (preferred) or R, with experience in bolthires Azure ML, Synapse Analytics, and bolthires Fabric. Demonstrated ability to build, deploy, and operationalize machine learning models in the cloud. Experience with MLOps workflows, scalable model pipelines, and real-world AI solution deployment. Proficiency in data wrangling, feature engineering, and handling complex data from multiple sources.Strong visualization and storytelling skills using Power BI or similar tools. Knowledge of data privacy, governance, and responsible AI practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical outcomes into clear business recommendations. Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities, supporting team learning and growth. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Preferred Qualifications bolthires certifications such as Azure Data Scientist Associate or Fabric Analytics Engineer.Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and orchestration within the bolthires ecosystem. Familiarity with advanced MLOps automation and continuous learning models. Demonstrated success leading or mentoring data science teams in production environments.
